I have been doing Crossfit for about a year and a half now. If you don't know what it is I suggest you watch this! (If that doesn't motivate you I don't know what will!) My neighbor, Amberlynn, made me go with her. I never would have gone by myslelf and I have to admit that when Amberlynn and I showed up that first day and Mike told us to park our kids in the stroller and to stand on the sidewalk in front of his house and do push-ups, squats, and to run to the corner and back, all I could think to myself is "you want me to do what? Aren't your neighbors watching?" Well we did it, and we kept at it. Amberlynn made all of her other friends come too! (Now I like to think of them as my friends too :). I don't know why but we all keep coming back. With our ripped hands, bruised up shins, sore muscles, and screaming children, we drag our butts there at least 3 times a week. We say "This is ridiculous!" alot! I have been known to say some other things too but we won't get into that.
Anyway, the point of my story is that I almost quit a few weeks ago. I hadn't been going regularly, I got lazy, it was so hot outside and I was getting discouraged. I had only gone once or twice in 2 months and wasn't going to waste my money paying if I wasn't going regularly. I don't know what got into me but I decided I didn't want to quit. All of my MOPS friends are there and I didn't want to be left out. I have been back at "the box" for a couple of weeks now and today I PR'd (personal record) the Clean & Jerk at 100 lbs!!! I am so glad I didn't quit! My husband has been going with me as well!! Someday he will be able to lift more than me! ;) Thank you to my Crossfit951ers for encouraging me to stay and to push myself to do things I never thought I could. xoxooxox
So very proud of you my friend! love you!!
