I have been doing Crossfit for about a year and a half now. If you don't know what it is I suggest you watch this! (If that doesn't motivate you I don't know what will!) My neighbor, Amberlynn, made me go with her. I never would have gone by myslelf and I have to admit that when Amberlynn and I showed up that first day and Mike told us to park our kids in the stroller and to stand on the sidewalk in front of his house and do push-ups, squats, and to run to the corner and back, all I could think to myself is "you want me to do what? Aren't your neighbors watching?" Well we did it, and we kept at it. Amberlynn made all of her other friends come too! (Now I like to think of them as my friends too :). I don't know why but we all keep coming back. With our ripped hands, bruised up shins, sore muscles, and screaming children, we drag our butts there at least 3 times a week. We say "This is ridiculous!" alot! I have been known to say some other things too but we won't get into that.
Anyway, the point of my story is that I almost quit a few weeks ago. I hadn't been going regularly, I got lazy, it was so hot outside and I was getting discouraged. I had only gone once or twice in 2 months and wasn't going to waste my money paying if I wasn't going regularly. I don't know what got into me but I decided I didn't want to quit. All of my MOPS friends are there and I didn't want to be left out. I have been back at "the box" for a couple of weeks now and today I PR'd (personal record) the Clean & Jerk at 100 lbs!!! I am so glad I didn't quit! My husband has been going with me as well!! Someday he will be able to lift more than me! ;) Thank you to my Crossfit951ers for encouraging me to stay and to push myself to do things I never thought I could. xoxooxox

Curtains....
As in shower!! Today is my daughters 5th birthday and we celebrated by going to Sea World and then staying over in a hotel and going to the beach. Now I know that some people are grossed out about the bedding that may or may not have been washed or the dirty remote control in hotel rooms. That does not bother me as much as the shower curtain does. There have been many, many times when my husband has gone into a hotel bathroom after I have taken my shower and asked, "Why are all the towels on the floor and the floor is sopping wet?" You want to know my reply? "Because I don't want the shower curtain to touch me. I put it outside of the tub. Do you know how many weiners have probably touched that!?" I have a feeling that I am not the only one who feels this way because have you noticed that some hotels now have a curved shower curatin rod? The hotel chains must have had one to many flooded floors due to weiner-phobia! All I can say is thank you to the guy who invented the curved shower curtain rod. On second thought, it was probably a girl who invented it. I don't know about you but from now on I will look for curved shower curtain rod on the list of hotel ammenities!!

Ok So........
I'm not a writer so bear (or is it bare?) with me. I am usually a good speller. I am a mom, a wife, and a friend. I am an introvert. I love reading blogs and have been wanting my own for quite some time. I got to thinking that everything I love begins with the letter "C". Ok, maybe not everything but let's just go with it. The first and most important "C" is my husband Chad. He is a Cop. I have two Children. I love Coupons, Cooking, Crossfit, and Candles (scentsy to be exact!).I am also about embark on a new "C" word, Church. MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) actually. This is so out of my comfort zone that I may have to have a Cocktail (or an anxiety pill my doctor gave me when I broke out in hives for no apparant reason which might be more appropriate at 9am) before I go to my monthly meetings. I don't know how often I will post but let's just see what happens. I hope to learn about myself along the way. I think i just learned that I am not as good a speller as I thought I was. Hopefully I will be able to make you laugh once in a while and I would love to hear how you "C" the world!
